  • European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network - In English
    States the Commission supports its activities under the Lifelong Learning Programme 2007 13 The ELGPN represents a major development in support of national lifelong guidance policy development in Europe As a Member State driven network it also represents an innovative form of the Open Method of Co ordination within the EU The participating countries designate their representatives in the network and are encouraged to include both governmental and non governmental representatives The ELGPN currently consists of 31 member countries Through appropriate liaison arrangements the network ensures regular contact with other relevant bodies and networks at national European and international levels The first six years of ELGPN 2007 12 have created active collaboration between relevant governmental and non governmental bodies across ELGPN member countries and other relevant networks as well as with the relevant units of DG EAC and DG EMPL in support of the development and implementation of European LLG systems and policies and of related economic social and political goals This will continue in 2013 14 including seeking closer links with Cedefop ETF Euroguidance and the European Network of Public Employment Services PES as well as with the reformed EURES The fourth phase of the ELGPN Work Programme 2013

    coordinate three measures Modernization of the study environment of vocational schools 90 projects will be supported Improvement of the quality of the study environment of schools intended for students with special educational needs SEN through developing the relevant infrastructure 34 projects will be supported Modernization of open youth centres information and counselling centres and hobby schools 37 projects will be supported Many facilities are in the process of being finished or designed and lot of them already have been finished For example the canteen of Räpina Gardening school has been finished Tallinn Industrial Education Centre has gotten a brand new lab for renovating and painting car frames some equipment for study labs and the dormitory has been renovated Thanks to the financial assistance Luua Forestry school has been able to obtain contemporary machinery for teaching forestry vehicles the facilities of Orava Youth Centre have been refurbished In 2004 2006 Foundation Innove coordinated 1 1 billion EEK of EU Structural Funds support From the European Regional Development Fund measure 4 3 Modernisation of infrastructure for vocational and higher education 10 VET colleges 4 professional higher education institutions 5 guidance centres and 7 youth centres were supported In total 66 different projects
