    through their everyday activities ReferNet was founded by the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training Cedefop The members of the network are 27 EU Member States Norway and Iceland The main objective of the network is to provide comparable information on Member States developments and policies in VET and to compile the knowledge of key organisations In order to reach this objective ReferNet provides an opportunity for reciprocal exchange of information and promotes cooperation with international organisations in Europe and in the whole world For more information about each country look at ReferNet national websites The task of the network on the national level is to prepare annual overviews and analyses on the status of vocational education and training the latest developments and studies in various fields it also maintains an electronic database of information on the materials related to VET related printed matters websites etc Comparative information on VET developments in different European countries is available on the Cedefop webpage The representative body of ReferNet in every member country is a National Consortium A unit of Foundation Innove ReferNet Estonia leads and coordinates the consortium in Estonia Highlights Contact Kutseharidus ee Rajaleidja ee Career Centres SF open

    Science and the Georgian National Centre for Educational Quality Enhancement Project beneficiaries are Georgian pilot schools 8 VET colleges centres who also participate in the development activity The aim of the project is to support the Georgian pilot schools and the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science in enhancing the quality of vocational education in the framework of the Georgian education strategy and the objectives of vocational education in the EU The following activities will be undertaken enhancement of quality assurance system in vocational schools curriculum development in priority economic sectors and popularization of vocational education The outcomes of the project will be 1 3 5 key persons in every pilot school will be trained in quality management and self assessment reports will be drafted 2 curricula and teaching materials in priority fields will be updated and the teachers will pass the relevant training to meet the needs of local industry 3 at least 3 key teachers of the priority fields will learn about the purposes and organization of skills competitions the strategies of making vocational education more attractive and dissemination of information on vocational education opportunities in media Project Polices and Practices in Life Long Learning It was a year long international project initiated by Bulgarian partners where 9 countries and 12 organizations participated As a result of the project information on lifelong learning LLL strategies policies projects and best practices are available for policy makers educators analysts and social partners The objectives of the project were the creation of a web platform to compare LLL strategies and to analyze comparatively LLL policies and measures and to disseminate the results in Estonia and European Union Additional information www eupractices eu The project Support to VET Labour Market and LLL systems in the northern part of Cyprus This project is

    as a representative in the European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network In 2008 a contractual agreement to develop career services was signed between MoER and Ministry of Social Affairs MoSA stating the areas of responsibility in providing high quality career services to the whole population Within this agreement development of methodology training system for practitioners service provision quality and co operation in the field is being assured The amount given to the development of this field during the years is around 4 million EUR The National Resource Centre for Guidance NRCG was created in 1998 when it grew out of the European network Euroguidance The objective of Euroguidance Estonia is to be a unit in the education sector that provides information about mobility and career guidance systems to specialists both in Estonia as well as in Europe and follows the principles of lifelong learning Main activities of NRCG Contribution to the development of the national system of guidance by introducing the best European practice Intermediate information about mobility for learning purposes in Estonia and in Europe Development of career education in general and vocational schools Development of the provision of career information and career counselling in regional information and counselling centres incl quality assurance Development and introduction of ICT applications in guidance and counselling Strengthening of co operation and information exchange within the institutional network in the fields of education training guidance youth work and labour market in Estonia Participation in transnational projects under both Community and national programmes in the field of education and guidance and the encouragement of other relevant bodies in European project co operation The activities are carried out in the forms of information and methodological materials training of practitioners developing websites promotional activities seminars and meeting for stakeholders etc Target groups Career counsellors and information specialists

    in and all roles that they take Career services contain career education career information and career counselling its development and provision These may include services in schools universities colleges training institutions public employment services and companies in the community sector and in the private sector The services in Estonia are mainly provided by the public sector within the education and labour market structures Provision in the education sector tends to be more complex and divided across many institutions compared to the labour market sector In 2008 a contractual agreement to develop career services was signed between Ministry of Educationd and Research in Estonia MoER and Ministry of Social Affairs MoSA stating the areas of responsibility in providing high quality career services to the whole population The agreement is aimed at developing of methodology training system service provision quality and co operation in the field The National Resource Centre for Guidance NRCG established in 1998 is the main partner of MoER and MoSA in developing career services in Estonia In cooperation with the members of the Euroguidance network NRCG supports guidance practitioners in promoting mobility and the European dimension in the field of guidance Long term cooperation with the network Academia has enabled NRCG to offer international study visits for Estonian career specialists and introduce national experience to the practitioners from other European countries As an Estonian representative of the European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network NRCG takes part in developing lifelong guidance in education and employment sectors Since 2010 NRCG is a member of the University Network for Innovation in Guidance The main focus of the network is professionalization of career guidance specialists To assure the accessibility of career services the national forum for career services has been established The forum consists of a wide range of stakeholders including practitioners client
